Windstar Cruises has opened bookings for its Summer 2028 Europe season, deploying five yachts, Star Explorer, Star Legend, Star Pride, Wind Spirit and Wind Surf, from March through October. Travel advisors can choose from 348 itinerary combinations.
The program spans short getaways as brief as four days to a 53-day Grand Mediterranean Adventure that starts in Tenerife and ends in Venice, giving guests flexibility to match cruise length with broader vacation plans.
New highlights for 2028 include an expanded German itinerary that sails the Kiel Canal and the Elbe River, a voyage timed for Hamburg’s major maritime festival, a fresh port call in Ireland’s Aran Islands, and deeper exploration of the British Isles aboard the newly added Star Explorer.
For repeat travelers, the added stops and event-linked sailings provide fresh scenery without leaving familiar waters, while advisors gain fresh talking points that can spark interest among both newcomers and seasoned guests.
In the Mediterranean, the season emphasizes active shore experiences: guests can swim and paddle directly from Windstar’s marina, dock at smaller harbors, and visit Greece, Italy, France and Croatia during peak summer conditions.
Additional offerings feature enhanced Grand Prix sailings, a “Mystery Cruise” that departs and returns to Athens, and extended exploration days that let passengers linger in lesser-known locales.
Stijn Creupelandt, chief operating officer, said, “Europe is a destination many of our guests return to again and again, and in 2028 we’re giving them new ways to experience places they may think they already know.”
He added, “From sailing farther into the heart of destinations to timing voyages around cultural events, these itineraries give guests a different perspective on Europe. For travel advisors, that creates a compelling reason to start a new Europe conversation with both first-time and repeat guests.”
Advisors booking before Oct. 31 2026 can add the Early Booking Offer, which includes a complimentary all-inclusive package (Wi-Fi, gratuities and unlimited select beer, wine and cocktails), a $100 shipboard credit per guest, and a 5% fare discount when payment is made in full.
